Covid-19 and NF1

So we have heared a lot about underlying conditions and Covid-19 so to keep things brief:

Covid-19 is a SERIOUS condition. We are not talking about something a bit like seasonal flu here. We are possibly talking about something that is on the same page as the 1918-19 Spanish flu pandemic which killed about 50 millon people world wide - more than died in the first world war. That pandemic killed NOT just the elderly or already unwell. It was reported than young fit people who appeared to be fit and well at breakfast were dead by dinner time the same day.

You have been told by governments to say at home so show some common sence and do it.

However, does NF1 increase your risk and make it more dangerous? Not neesseseraly no. From what I have read, unless you are undergoing treatmemt for serious conditions that can develop with NF you are at no greater risk of getting nor developing complications should you catch covid-19.

The best thing is to read the available information on reputable sites, I tend to stick to the NHS site and the dept of health sites.
