Cohort 6 Covid jab

Well this was a turn up.

Apparently having neurofibromatosis put me in cohort 6 in the UK vaccination roll out. This meant that I was eligable for my first covid jab two weeks ago. Despite my age bracket not being due just yet when I was offered it I was not going to say no.

So I turned up for my appointment and I was in and out in about 10 minutes.

I hate needles and alway have to look away when I get my anual flu jab. This was painless and so quick I wasn't sure anything had happend until the doctor said 'all done'. Sill it was the Oxford one I had so should get the next one mid to late April.

Did I react badly to it? Not at all. Ok, yes, I had a sore arm for a day or two but this is common with most vaccinations. Other than that I had no reaction to it at all. Now I know we all react differently to vaccinations and other people may have had a different experiance but the sore arm is still better than getting covid.

I never thought there was an advantage to having neurofibromatosis - but it looks like I have found one.
